Mission & Strategy

Ruby Red Foundation's vision is to improve the lives of all people affected by rare blood cancers known as Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs) and ultimately to seek a cure.

We do this by raising funds and prioritising dedicated MPN research to help improve understanding, advance treatment, and seek a path to cure. In addition to medical research, we also work to raise awareness across the medical and broader community of MPNs, as well as providing a source of empowerment and advocacy for patients.

Our Priorities

The Foundation's strategy can be easily represented in the form of 3-key pillars, representing our core priorities. Our dedicated army of volunteers and management team run a variety of initiatives across each of these priorities, each targeting a discrete outcome, yet contributing towards the overall vision for the Foundation.

Research

Ruby Red is committed to raising vital funds for MPN research, unravelling the disease process, its cause, and ultimately finding a cure.

Awareness

We seek to increase the understanding of  Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs), across clinical stakeholders and the broader patient community.

Advocacy & Empowerment

Giving people affected by MPNs a voice and encouraging each to tell their story. Providing support and empowerment to live an active and healthy lifestyle.

Guiding Principles

These represent the broad philosophy that guide the Foundation through each and every day, helping us stay the course in achieving our desired objectives.

Principle #1 - Appropriate governance, risk management and compliance controls are embedded in everything we do, ensuring a framework for sustainability of the Foundation's activities.

Principle #2 - Measured impact and success, acting locally but working globally, sharing our impact with the broader MPN community to drive synergies and collaborative success for the benefit of all.

Principle #3 - Putting patients and families first, by providing genuine and dedicated support for those whose lives are impacted by MPNs.
